The Mission Viejo Homeowners' Association is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
elected by the membership to oversee the organization's activities and programs.

Board Positions Open — Self-Nominations Due December 14, 2026
Our community relies on volunteers for everything we do, and serving on the board is one of
the best ways to make a difference. Directors will be elected by secret ballot at the
Annual Meeting on January 19, 2027.
- Who can serve: any voting member of the Association (one director per household).
- Term: two years; terms are staggered so part of the board is elected each year.
- Time commitment: 10–12 monthly meetings a year, each under two hours, plus helping at our events (currently three a year, about 3.5 hours each).

Self-nominations must be received by December 14, 2026 to be considered at the Annual Meeting.

Board Responsibilities
The Board of Directors is responsible for:
- Overseeing the organization's programs and services
- Managing community events and activities
- Coordinating with service providers (waste management, etc.)
- Maintaining fiscal responsibility and budget oversight
- Representing member interests in community matters
- Organizing annual meetings and board elections
